Mark Wahlberg has always been a fitness enthusiast. But of late, at age 51, the ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ star has been going through a bodybuilding odyssey and is inspiring everyone in the process. He started the ‘wahlbergweek’, where the actor-cum-workout-enthusiast is posting videos from his training sessions on social media. His new ‘High Roller’ workout routine, while motivational among fans, has also fetched criticism from many others.
Mark Wahlberg is on his Day 2 of wahlbergweek in this clip. He is pushing himself hard, and showing the world that it can be done. But the bodybuilding world after taking note of all aspects found something off with it. Here’s how some of them reacted.
At 51, Mark Wahlberg is fit and motivated
Pain and Gain star Mark Wahlberg took to his Instagram and wrote, “High Roller”. He also tagged several of his associations such as F45 training, Performance Inspired, Municipal, etc. In the clip, he is doing pull-ups inside his gym with nothing but his black shorts. The impact of his bodybuilding passion was clearly evident in his chiseled bare body.
Wahlberg said in the video, “Day 2 of Wahlberg week. Today, High Roller”, whilst continuing to do pull-ups. He continued, “I live in Vegas now, but I don’t gamble. Only thing I bet on is myself and big Mike”. Wahlberg continued his pull-ups constantly during this workout without breaking into a sweat. Soon after, Mike got on the equipment and started doing pull-ups himself.

The video eventually showed the various supplements that Wahlberg takes for his regular workout routine. They include Magnesium Plus, Performance Whey, BCAA, Performance Mass Gainer, etc. Despite, Wahlberg’s effortless workout session providing a wholesome motivational vibe, fans were split in their reactions.
Mark Wahlberg fuels bodybuilding fans on either side
Mark Wahlberg has always pushed himself and his body to further limits during training sessions. And now, the actor, who also recently turned into a personal trainer, is urging fans to start their bodybuilding journey. But not all fans are equally convinced. Here are some of their reactions:
“Zero pull-ups detected“: this fan isn’t impressed by the quality of his pull-up.
“He’s cheating”, while this fan hasn’t really given an explanation behind his comment, he/she believes that Wahlberg is not doing pullups the right way.
“Let’s go!!!” said another fan. Not all fans are unimpressed. Some were genuinely motivated.
“Bros combined leg raises and pull-ups, clever”, said a fan. This is what Wahlberg was doing during his pull-ups, as a keen-eyed bodybuilding fan clearly noticed.
“Bro chill my girl uses this app”, this fan envious of Wahlberg’s body stated.
Irrespective of fans’ reactions, Mark Wahlberg seems to have started a storm with his new and personalized training sessions. His 4 am workout regime, his Performance Inspired brand, and his Municipal apparel company are all effectively reaching out to fitness fans. On the work front, the actor will soon be seen in ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.’
