Square Toe Boots Trend: Say Goodbye To Pointed Toes

January 2024 ยท 2 minute read

What may initially seem like a particularly 'high fashion', directional trend which you wouldn't dare even begin to entertain, this is actually one of the easiest try your hand at this season. After all, experimenting with your footwear repertoire is far less daunting than, say, a dress. If you decide you hate them on your way to dinner then you can relax your mind by remembering that they'll be hidden beneath the table for a large proportion of the evening.

But that's a negative mindset. Why would you hate them?!

Oh, and if you're still convinced that they're an industry thing and not for mass market, may we remind you of the lace-up Zara pair that sold out the second they hit shelves earlier this month? And that was during a heatwave... we're telling you - they're having a major moment.

The only advice we would give, is that - because they're less leg-lengthening than pointed kicks - they tend to be more flattering when paired with slim-leg jeans or floaty dresses with at least a mid-length hem (maxis work best). Minis are a tad blocky with such a blunt shoe.

But HEY there are no rules. Go forth and wear what you damn well like. (As long as the boots have a square toe...)
