The brunette beauty looked in fine form indeed as she pranced around as she prepared to put her nose once more to the grindstone in pursuit of dramatic excellence.

Sandra is starring opposite John Malkovich in the Netflix project, which follows a woman and her children who make their way through a post-apocalyptic setting next to a river.

It is certainly a far cry from her turn in 1998 romantic drama Hope Floats, where she was literally swept off her feet by a young Harry Connick Jr.

Indeed after their family day on Saturday they were later spotted on a dinner date, joined by Sandra's longterm friend, the endlessly interesting Friends actress Jennifer Aniston.

It was the pair's mutual pal Gwyneth Paltrow who introduced Sandra to Bryan, following her nasty divorce from cheating reality TV star Jesse James.

The two immediately hit it off and now live together in Beverly Hills. Along with Sandra's two children, Bryan also has an adult daughter from a previous relationship.

A friend of the couple spoke about their love earlier this year, saying: 'They are perfect. They have been both working so it was hard for them to see each other as often as they normally do, but while Sandra works Bryan helps out with the kids.

'He is like the kids' dad. He is a great guy and makes Sandra really happy.'
